Annual Youth Retreat 2010

Annual Youth Retreat – was held for youth with disabilities who are consumers of LIFE’s Healthy Opportunities for Transition project sponsored by the Children’s Medical Program and the Family To Family Center. The retreat was held on May 1 and 1, 2010 at the Woodsmen of the World Campgrounds in Hattiesburg. Youth invited to participate spent 24 hours getting to know each other, learning valuable skills necessary for their independence in the community, creating art and generally having a great time! In the meantime their parents were squirreled away at a hotel, also receiving valuable information on how to ensure that their child is as independent as they possibly can be and is receiving the most appropriate services available to them. Everyone had a great time!
