Bridging the Gap 2009

We walked, we rolled and we strolled across the historic old Mississippi Bridge in Vicksburg! What a great day we had. We raised awareness of our abilities as well as some funding for LIFE! This years Bridging the Gap event was held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - Halloween. LIFE was joined by over 100 people who enjoyed a terrific view of the river and had a great time! Several people wore their best costume. Bridging the Gap was our second annual Walk, Roll and Stroll-A-Thon - but it won't be our last! The minimum entry fee was only $25, however we awardes prizes to the individuals with the most sponsors. This years winners were: in first place, Ms. Jan Cloud; in second place, Ms. Kris McNair and in third place, Mr. Christopher Guzman.
YOU raised close to $12,000 to further our mission of ensuring quality independent living services for individuals with disabilities. Check out our Photo Gallery under What We Do, for pictures of this years event. Put it on your calender for next year - the last Saturday in October - we'll definately be doing it again!
