Hearts, Hands & Hammers 2009

LIFE was blessed with an AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) team. Team Delta 6 was selected to work with LIFE from 09/02/2009 - 10/23/2009 to change the lives of approximately 15 individuals with disabilities in central/west central Mississippi. The team received training and, with supervision, built wheelchair ramps for 16 consumers of LIFE and the MS Department of Rehabilitation Services, Independent Living Program. Please view our Photo Gallery under "What We Do" to see pictures of the team and their projects. We are so grateful to them for the work they did. Several of the consumers had been unable to leave their homes independently for years. Now they can!
