City of Jackson ADA Advisory Council Meetings
January 22, 2010
The current City of Jackson ADA Advisory Council was created in 2007 as the result of advocacy efforts from the disability community regarding the City's lack of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Council is composed of citizens with disabilities from each Ward of the City and representatives from various advocacy organizations. The Council provides advice and guidance to the Mayor's office and the office of the ADA for Jackson.
The ADA Advisory Council meets the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm in the conference room on the first floor of the Hood Building located directly across the street from City Hall on the corner of Pearl and President Streets. Meetings are open to the public. To bring concerns before the Council, please contact Mr. Sam Gleese, Jackson ADA Coordinator, at 601-960-1863.
Please note - the Council will not meet in July - we will resume our regularly scheduled meetings on August 4, 2010.
